Sneak Peek: Our Latest Collaboration...

The leaves will soon be turning here in the mountains, and we’ve been quietly working on something special behind the scenes. We are thrilled to give you a sneak peek of our latest collaboration with Han Studio—just in time for fall.

In this special partnership, our pure beeswax pillar candles are turned on the lathe by Han Studio, a small woodworking studio in Pittsburgh PA.  Each candle is transformed into a one-of-a-kind sculptural piece.  These artisan pillars burn clean and long, just like all of our candles - but with added character of natural patterns and grooves shaped by the lathe.

Each piece is a fusion of precision woodcraft technique and traditional candle-making, honoring the purity of our beeswax, while elevating it into something entirely unique.

At Appalachian Wax Works, we believe in working with other artists the way bees work in the hive - collaboratively, intentionally, and with purpose.  Just as bees build together, we are proud to support a creative community of artisans who share our love for slow craft, natural materials, and functional beauty.

Each piece in the collection will debut at select fall markets in limited quantities and online starting August 28 at 6pm.
