Trim wick to 1/4" prior to each burn for an even, long-lasting candle. For pillar candles, the rule of thumb is to burn for the length of time as the width of the candle. It is recommended to burn this candle for 3 hrs initially to ensure the wax pool extends to the outer edges to avoid tunneling.
